Revealed: Denver Business Journal’s 2023 Fast50 finalists
Meet the fastest-growing private companies in the Denver metro.
Each year, the Denver Business Journal honors the 50 fastest-growing private companiesin the Denver metro area.
It’s a difficult club to enter, considering economic headwinds, dramatic changes in the way work gets done, and, of course, the deep pool of successful companies in the metro area.
Today, we’re excited to give you a look at the finalists.
Finalists in DBJ’s Fast 50 were nominated and had to submit three full years of revenue for audit while meeting the following criteria:
- The company must be privately held, locally owned and for-profit.
- It must be headquartered in the seven-county Denver-metro region (Adams,
- Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas or Jefferson counties).
- It must have a three-year sales history (fiscal years 2020, 2021 and 2022) with revenue gains from 2020 to 2022.
- It must have an average of at least $1 million in sales for the three most recent years, with no year less than $200,000.
Financial data was audited by DBJ’s Fast 50 accounting partner and presenting sponsor, RSM, and qualifying companies were ranked by percentage growth within size categories determined to ensure maximum competition:
- Extra-small: Companies with $1 million to $5 million in annual revenue
- Small: Companies with $5 million to $10 million in annual revenue
- Medium: Companies with $10 million to $21 million in annual revenue
- Large: Companies with $21 million to $61 million in annual revenue
- Extra-large: Companies with more than $61 million in annual revenue
The companies with the fastest growth in each of the five categories will be revealed at a cocktail party held at Kevin Taylor’s at the Opera House. The winners in each category will share advice and wisdom, and the rankings in eachcategory will appear, in the Oct. 20 issue.
